From His Excellency the Governor of South Australia.
Government House,
Adelaide, 5th Nov., 1896.
Dear Sir, -
I am directed by His Excellency Sir T. Fowell Buxton to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 31st October, and to express a hope that the efforts of the Bathurst Federation League, at the Convention to be held at Bathurst this month, for the purpose of discussing the principles and details of Federalism, may tend to further and promote the cause of the Federal Union of these colonies.
I am, your's faithfully,
E. W. WALLINGTON,
Private Secretary.
Thos. A. Machattie, Esq.
